Hibernia College, a leader in career education since 2000, is seeking a Lecturer in Education (Post-primary) to join its team. As a Lecturer in Education, you will play a key role in shaping the future of education in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality education programs, with a focus on post-primary education and research.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs, including managing the annual self-evaluation process and the accreditation of programs.
- Collaborate with other members of the Post-Primary team to ensure the provision of a high-quality student experience.
- Supervise students on School Placement and student-teacher dissertations.
- Grade, second mark, and moderate student work.
Requirements:
- Qualified Post-Primary teacher with a minimum of 8 years' teaching experience in Ireland.
- Minimum qualification must be at level 9 (Masters in Education or related discipline).
- Proactive, flexible, and adaptive.
- Excellent knowledge of the Post-Primary School Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with a track record in the education sector, teacher education, or education leadership and management relevant to the role.
Desirable:
- Be qualified to PhD level and be research active.
- Be an active member of committees, forums, national bodies, and or working groups relevant to the role.
- Experience in the management and or delivery of programs of teacher education and the design and management of assessment.
