Job Summary:
UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore seeks a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) to develop teaching initiatives, lead research projects, and contribute to the School's postgraduate and undergraduate programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach courses in Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and related disciplines
- Conduct research in ICH and contribute to the School's research initiatives
- Participate in the School's postgraduate and undergraduate programs
- Contribute to the development of teaching initiatives and leadership in Teaching & Learning
- Undertake administrative tasks as designated by the Head of School
Requirements:
- PhD in Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) or related discipline
- Expertise in the implementation of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and the 2005 Convention on Diversity of Cultural Expressions
- Experience in the management of Cultural Heritage and cognizance of Ireland's engagement with the 2003 Convention
- Expert knowledge and active engagement with the challenges of conserving and promoting living heritage and of the role of ICH in society
Salary and Benefits:
Salary Scale: €62,855 - €99,533 Per Annum
