Job Description

Job Summary:

UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore seeks a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) to develop teaching initiatives, lead research projects, and contribute to the School's postgraduate and undergraduate programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach courses in Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and related disciplines
  • Conduct research in ICH and contribute to the School's research initiatives
  • Participate in the School's postgraduate and undergraduate programs
  • Contribute to the development of teaching initiatives and leadership in Teaching & Learning
  • Undertake administrative tasks as designated by the Head of School

Requirements:

  • PhD in Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) or related discipline
  • Expertise in the implementation of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage and the 2005 Convention on Diversity of Cultural Expressions
  • Experience in the management of Cultural Heritage and cognizance of Ireland's engagement with the 2003 Convention
  • Expert knowledge and active engagement with the challenges of conserving and promoting living heritage and of the role of ICH in society

Salary and Benefits:

Salary Scale: €62,855 - €99,533 Per Annum
