UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore seeks a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Intangible Cultural Heritage

Summary: UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore is seeking a Lecturer/Assistant Professor to develop teaching initiatives and lead research in Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field, such as Folklore, Ethnology, Anthropology, or Cultural Studies, and expertise in the implementation of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

  • Develop and lead teaching initiatives in Intangible Cultural Heritage
  • Contribute to the quality expansion of research in the relevant area
  • Participate in the School's postgraduate and undergraduate programmes
  • Undertake administrative tasks as designated by the Head of School

The appointee will have a strong research profile, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. The successful candidate will be appointed on a permanent basis and will be paid on a salary scale of €62,855 - €99,533 per annum.
