THE OPPORTUNITYA unique opportunity for an experienced Planning and Infrastructure Lawyer to support my client in developing their planning and infrastructure practice with the support of the wider Ireland and International Team.This role will offer you the opportunity to play a critical role in growing the practice through cultivating relationships with new and existing clients.THE TEAMMy client's Planning and Infrastructure Team has deep-rooted teams split across multiple jurisdictions.The practice has a superb reputation across areas including: Real estate, Transport, Energy, Planning, and Environmental Due Diligence.The local team is long established, very down to earth, and has a great working culture. The firm has clear plans to challenge the top tier law firms within a relatively short period of time.WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLEThe ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as provide oversight and support to more junior members in the team.Advising clients on the regulatory requirements for infrastructure projects.Advising on the consenting process under the different regulatory regimes in Ireland, including the Maritime, Roads, and Gas Acts.Review of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and Natura Impact Statements for projects and advice to clients on compliance.Planning and environmental due diligence including review of data rooms and preparation of reports to assist the Corporate Group on M&A projects.Analysis of planning permissions and Opinions and Certificates of Compliance with Planning and liaison with Real Estate colleagues on these.Advising on the judicial review process and on prosecuting or defending judicial review proceedings.Advice on and defending planning and environmental prosecutions and on director liability.General planning and environmental law advice including on planning exemptions, general compliance, interpretation of planning legislation, and relevant case law.YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISEThe successful candidate will have:Excellent academic achievement.At least 5 - 7 years Planning/Environmental/Infrastructure Consenting experience gained within a comparable environment.A clear understanding and working experience of the operation and structure of a leading law firm.In-depth understanding of technical legislation, regulatory requirements, and expectations applicable to planning and consenting matters.A genuine interest in Planning and Infrastructure Consenting law.Experience supervising junior members of a team.A commercial mindset who looks for opportunities to grow the business.A strong client relationship builder who enjoys working in a team.A willingness to expand your knowledge base, both as the market naturally evolves and to keep pace with client demand in new sectors.A willingness to take the time to fully appreciate clients' needs and priorities ensuring your advice is meaningful, tailored, commercial, and delivered with a solutions-oriented and enabling mindset. #J-18808-Ljbffr
