Job Description

An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for an ambitious and experienced financial Services Industry Professional to take over the day to day running of a busy Life and Pensions office in the Cork city area. The successful candidate will be experienced, enthusiastic, motivated, and conscientious and will possess an in-depth understanding of financial planning, pensions, investments, compliance and related taxation matters. Main Purpose of the Role: Lead a team that manage the intake, review and processing of all new life and pensions related applications including all applicable supporting documentation. Manage the Life and Pensions Admin Team to include regular staff reviews and general management. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for policy administration to ensure consistency and accuracy. Approve and process applications in accordance with product rules, regulatory requirements, industry standards and company's processes and procedures. Monitoring and reviewing of customer policy change requests. Manage the transfer in process to ensure the smooth processing of funds and manage the timely transition of policies from pre-retirement to post-retirement. Develop, maintain, and effectively manage communications with customers throughout the application and policy lifecycle. Oversee a high level of customer service by ensuring that all customer interactions are handled proactively, promptly and professionally and within agreed service levels. Establish and maintain regular communication and collaboration with the Company Directors. Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities and collaborate with all business areas to drive process improvement and business growth. Lead initiatives to define and improve the processes, including the adoption of new technologies or methodologies. Stay informed about Industry developments, regulatory changes and best practices. Establishing and maintaining excellent customer and broker relations to ensure high customer satisfaction. Adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards and company policies. Lead initiatives for process improvements operational excellence. Leverage deep operations and industry knowledge to implement change, adopt best practices and drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency within the company. Oversee the general running of a busy office in terms of basic office management including the ordering of relevant stationery, business cards etc. etc. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business or related Financial services field preferred. Must meet Minimum Competency qualifications set under CBI requirements such as QFA. Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Insurance Industry (preferable Life and Pensions) Ability to identify areas for improvements and provide customer focused solutions. Results-focused. Ability to influence others and manage different stakeholders and have a proven track record in a previous role of executing Operations Strategy in Irish Insurance Market and possess an in-depth understanding of Investment, Pension and Protection Products. Strong presentation skills, delivering propositions and key messages to clients & other internal & external partners. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Build & maintain relationships with key influencers. Engage & communicate. Manage expectations, monitor & adapt. Stakeholder mapping for key clients. Proven Track record of managing both internal & external stakeholders. Demonstrate financial soundness and Conduct to be honest, ethical, and act with integrity - demonstrate honesty and integrity at all times.
