A valued client currently has a need for a Light Machine Operative on a permanent basis. The role will be based in the Recycling Centre in Nenagh and will report to the Depot Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of machinery within the yard and general yard duties. The Role: Light Machine Operative Role Specifics: Job Title: Light Machine Operative Business Unit: Recycling Reporting to: Depot Manager Location:Recycling Centre, Borrisokane Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary Duration: Permanent The Role: The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: • Operate machinery within the yard and waste transfer building. • Use a loading shovel, sweeper, forklift, and shunter truck to move yard skips and containers. • Wash and dismantle wheelie bins. • Clean and wash trucks. • Maintain general cleanliness of the yard and perform various other tasks as needed. • Interact professionally and courteously with colleagues and the public. • All employees are expected to cooperate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises and civic amenity. The Person: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge, and attributes. • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role. • Applicants must possess all relevant cards, and licenses. • Forklift and Loader experience desirable. • FAS Safe Pass/ Manual Handling Experience • Good Written and Verbal English essential. • Must be flexible to work across different work sections within the business. • Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland. • Experience in the waste industry a distinct advantage
