The Dublin office of Malcomson Law LLP is a busy and expanding health care law practice.We are seeking an experienced Litigation Health lawyer who will work with the Managing Partner.The successful candidate will have:1 – 3 years High Court post qualification experienceThe ability to work within a team or on their own initiative as required.A suitable candidate for this opportunity will:Have a strong rapport with both clients and colleagues alikeEngagement with medical and other case expertsBe confident handling a varied caseloadHave strong IT and litigation knowledge skill sets.Key Responsibilities will include:Taking instructions from clients and responsibility for providing technical advice to clients.Managing “work in progress” and outlay in accordance with business standardsMeeting expected monthly financial and case progression targets.Responsibility for building and maintaining productive working relationships with clients and inhouse support team.Core Competencies:Must be meticulous, thorough and precise and pay close attention to details, organised and possess analytical skillsNeeds to be fair, honest and trustworthy in all dealingsImportant to have excellent client skills, good verbal and writtenShould be able to perform under pressure with minimum supervisionAn ability to spot, identify and follow through business development opportunitiesBe proactive in ensuring that all case financial matters are up to dateDesired skills and experience:1 - 3 years Litigation experience, preferably working exclusively in a Personal Injury Practice and preferably a Health Law PracticeMust be able to read and understand medical records and medical reportsExcellent computer skills to include experience of using a Case Management software programme, Evolve/Documatics would be preferable but not essentialPreference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate that they have experience in dealing with catastrophic Personal Injury cases, Medical Negligence cases or high value Personal Injury cases and who have direct experience of running such cases in the High Court.This position would ideally suit a Solicitor with the above skills and experience who wishes to be part of a growing and innovative practice and who would become a key individual in the Firm’s growth plans.Salaries negotiable and in line with experience.
