Join our MLOps team for TTS at Amazon and contribute to state-of-the-art TTS models. We are seeking a passionate Software Engineer with expertise in designing and building scalable AWS cloud solutions, collaborating with Scientists to optimize their workflows, and supporting the entire machine learning lifecycle. The ideal candidate has a BS in Computer Science, proficiency in a modern programming language, and experience with Linux/Unix systems. They should also have solid knowledge of CS fundamentals, professional communication skills, and English language working proficiency. This role is for those who thrive in ambiguous environments at the intersection of software engineering and machine learning. We build and maintain the infrastructure and tooling that enable our Scientists to work on cutting-edge TTS technology powering Gen AI experiences via Alexa and AWS Polly. Our team supports the entire machine learning lifecycle, including data preparation, model training, inference, evaluation, release and deployment. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is capable of designing and building scalable and reliable AWS cloud solutions in collaboration with other Engineers, and willing to collaborate closely with Scientists to understand their workflows in depth and optimize for their needs. The Software Engineer will work on cutting-edge Text-To-Speech technology and contribute to the development of scalable and reliable AWS cloud solutions. They will collaborate with Scientists and Engineers to understand their workflows and optimize for their needs. The ideal candidate has experience with various processes in the full software development lifecycle, distributed systems, and efficient technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts. They should also have experience with end-to-end agile software development and be proficient in at least one modern programming language. The Software Engineer will work in an ambiguous environment at the intersection of software engineering and machine learning, shaping the future of speech synthesis and enabling new and exciting Gen AI experiences for millions of users worldwide.
