Job Description
A Maintenance and Reliability Engineer is sought for a Cork-based Mechanical Engineer with experience in a regulated environment.
Key responsibilities include providing engineering support, ensuring maintenance programs are effective, and leading reliability improvements to identify equipment obsolescence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to maintenance and equipment owners.
- Ensure maintenance programs are effective for reliable operation of equipment.
- Provide training to maintenance personnel on new equipment, methods, and techniques.
- Follow up on issues identified by equipment owners or via the maintenance Preventative Maintenance program.
- Participate in HSE and Quality observation/deviations write-ups.
- Ensure local maintenance procedures align with Global Engineering Standards and Engineering Best Practices.
- Ensure Job Plans, data sheets, and data loaders for addition to the computerized Maintenance management systems (CMMS) are correct and contain sufficient detail.
- Lead reliability improvements to identify equipment obsolescence in advance.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the Maintenance program.
- Analyze predictive and condition-based monitoring data to identify follow-up actions.
- Lead the development of site Mechanical Specifications.
- Develop, review, and own Departmental SOP's.
- Review Stores and Inventory levels of critical equipment.
- Carry out internal audits and periodic reviews of GMP activities to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- A level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineer.
- 5+ years experience within the pharmaceutical industry in a maintenance/engineering role.
- Demonstrated ability to act independently using good organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant EU directives.
- Familiarity with relevant national/international engineering standards.
- Expertise in Troubleshooting and Equipment failure investigation.
