Summary: Experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer with strong Automation skills required to support Automated Cold Store Warehouse Maintenance Team.
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Automation Engineer to join our team at ARYZTA's Grangecastle, Dublin site. As a key member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Shift Technician, as well as providing online/remote/out-of-hours Automation support when needed. **Key Responsibilities:** • Provide general maintenance support as part of the wider Cold Store Maintenance Team • Fully responsible for all Automation-related tasks within the Cold Store Warehouse • Develop and manage the Automation elements of the Annual Maintenance budget • Adhere to ARYZTA company policies and procedures, ensuring health and safety practices are followed at all times • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with ability to accurately summarise important technical aspects through report writing • Strong organisation and planning skills, with ability to prioritise effectively • Effective communication and excellent problem-solving skills are essential **Requirements:** • Degree Level 8 in Engineering - Electrical, Automation and Control • Min 5 years' post-qualification experience and strong interest in automation engineering • Excellent maintenance support experience within live automated working environments • Ability to provide Electrical, Automation, and Mechanical maintenance support where required • Qualified Electrical Engineer with strong Automation skills is essential • Strong Siemens PLC Step7 programming (STL) and related hardware configuration skills • Experience with fault finding of Automated systems, thorough interrogation/review of STL functional code, etc. • Clear ability to understand structured code and electrical schematics • Experience with other control systems platforms is an advantage • Must be able to understand, fault find, develop, improve, and deploy PLC code and hardware in line with industry best practices • Excellent knowledge and understanding of motor control, especially that using Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and report writing skills are essential • Experience with SAP CMMS is an advantage • Good working knowledge of all Automation Environment relevant fieldbus protocols is expected **Personal Attributes:** • Excellent communicator • Energetic, can-do attitude • Clear thinker who works well under pressure • Possess a strong continuous improvement mentality and focus • Ability to take ownership of situations and bring them to positive conclusion • Strong sense of Responsibility, Leadership, and ability to perform on own or as part of the wider ARYZTA team
