Maintenance Automation Engineer - Dublin 22
About the Role
- Provide hands-on support to the Maintenance Supervisor and shift Technician
- Offer online, remote, and out-of-hour automation support when needed
- Work a flexible schedule with a mix of on-site and remote support
- Collaborate with the Cold Store Maintenance Team on general maintenance tasks
- Develop and manage automation elements of the Annual Maintenance budget
- Responsible for carrying out risk assessments and reviewing RAMS, SOPs, and other project documents
- Develop and organize automation training and coaching for other team members
- Ensure correct spares are maintained for all equipment using SAP
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automation engineering
- Degree in Electrical, Automation, and Control Engineering (Level 8)
- Strong maintenance support experience in live automated environments
- Excellent knowledge of Siemens Step 7, Simatic Manager, WinCC Flex, and TIA Portal
- Experience with fault finding, PLC code development, and motor control
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and report writing skills

This role requires a skilled automation engineer to support the Maintenance Supervisor and shift Technician, as well as provide online, remote, and out-of-hour automation support when needed. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automation engineering, experience with Siemens software, and excellent maintenance support skills.
