About Us: Kellglass Limited is one of Ireland's leading glass processors and tougheners. We are an independent young company that has developed rapidly over recent years.. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team and ensure our equipment operates at peak efficiency. Summary:As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of all machinery and equipment used in the production of toughened glass, laminated glass, fire-resistant glass, glass processing, and mirrors. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all machinery and equipment operate efficiently and safely. Equipment Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in production equipment, including CNC machines, glass cutting tools, furnaces, and lamination lines. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and industry regulations, promoting a safe working environment. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to facilitate ongoing monitoring and improvement. Troubleshooting: Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnose the root cause of issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime. Team Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, quality control, and management to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure seamless ornduction operations. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are readily available for repairs and maintenance. Qualifications: Education: Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the glass industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment. Experience with CNC machines, glass cutting tools, and industrial furnaces is highly desirable. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve equipment issues promptly. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and document maintenance activities. Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment. Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and evenings, to respond to urgent maintenance needs.
