Summary: Maintenance Engineer required to plan and schedule maintenance works, carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, and troubleshoot using PLC programs at a food production facility in Longford. Vickerstock is working exclusively with one of Ireland's biggest and best known food brands to assist with the expansion of their Maintenance team in Longford. The main duties of this position include ensuring all machinery is kept to high standards and minimising downtime. Key responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer include: • Planning and scheduling of maintenance works to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimise downtime. • Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance, including reactive breakdown and preventative maintenance of conveyor belt systems, shredders, balers, and separation equipment. • Working with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications. • Troubleshooting using PLC programs. • General site maintenance of other specified equipment to ensure the plant is available and runs efficiently. • Closely monitoring line and machine performance. • Preventative and predictive maintenance routines. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to have: • Qualification in either Mechanical Engineering or a related field. • 2 years+ experience. • Conversant in the English language, both written and verbal. • Clear and strong communication skills.
