About Our Client: Our client, a leading manufacturing company in County Cavan, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This role involves maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations, with the advantage of working day shifts. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure the long-term reliability of equipment. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Collaborate with the production team to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance activities. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure timely reporting of any potential issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide immediate corrective actions. Qualifications and Skills: Trade certification or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
