About Our Client: Our client, a reputable manufacturing company based in County Cavan, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This role involves performing maintenance and repair activities on machinery and equipment during day shifts to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. Carry out preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and lifespan. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues. Collaborate with production teams to support operational goals and ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks. Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to restore production. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to optimize equipment performance and reduce costs. Qualifications and Skills: Trade certification or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
