Our client, a reputable manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their team in County Cavan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
- Carry out preventive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and lifespan.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Collaborate with production teams to support operational goals and ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions to restore production.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to optimize equipment performance and reduce costs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Trade certification or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards.
