Job Description
Reliable Maintenance Fitter/Mechanic sought to ensure machinery and equipment efficiency in a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repair tasks on beef processing equipment, including conveyors, motor/gearbox, and packaging machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot faults, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring equipment longevity and optimal performance.
- Replace and repair defective components, such as motors, bearings, belts, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and company policies.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
Requirements:
- Time-served Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter (MAMF) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience.
- Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Knowledge of machines, process equipment, controls, and automation.
- Experience in electrical and mechanical installations, maintenance, and refrigeration systems.
- Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Full driving license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including overtime and on-call shifts.
