Maintenance Fitter Location: Dublin, Ireland Salary: €43k - €48k / €50k depending on experience and there is a performance related bonus of up to 5% Syntech Recruitment is partnering with a large-scale industrial facility that plays a vital role in essential infrastructure services. The facility is one of the most significant in its sector and is committed to operational excellence and environmental sustainability. Role Overview They are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the Mechanical Team at a major facility in Dublin. The role involves ensuring the reliability and performance of critical equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This position requires strong mechanical skills and problem-solving capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Work with the Mechanical Team and oversee contractors for maintenance, repairs, and installations. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Maintain a clean and organised engineering workspace. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for equipment and processes. Ensure all maintenance tasks follow site policies and procedures. Troubleshoot equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend repair solutions. Record and review maintenance activities using MAXIMO (site CMMS). Minimise equipment downtime by applying effective problem-solving techniques. Support engineering and operations teams in recommending and implementing process improvements. Skills & Qualifications: Maintenance Fitter Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification. Excellent communication, teamwork, and initiative. Ability to work independently and within a team. Self-motivated with strong technical skills and attention to detail. Prior experience in an industrial or infrastructure facility is an advantage. Benefits: Up to €50,000 DOE and qualifications. Overtime available with great pay rates.
