Job Description
Immediate vacancy for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to carry out on-site mechanical maintenance works on Wastewater and Water Treatment plants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering planned preventative maintenance programmes, including greasing, lubrication, oil inspection and oil changes of gearboxes, pumps and blowers.
- Carrying out belt tension checks and alignment, pump inspections and general maintenance requirements.
- Inspecting and replacing pipework and various types of valves.
- Working with various types of piping applications, including cast iron, PVC, ABS, stainless steel and galvanised mild steel.
- Investigating mechanical faults on plant and resolving same, identifying parts required and successfully replacing same.
- Carrying out minor site fabrication requirements, such as onsite bracketing requirements.
- Completing daily reports and ensuring company HSQE policies are being maintained for all works.
Requirements:
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter/Plant Fitter/Mechanic with experience in site mechanical maintenance works.
- Electrical awareness would be an advantage.
- Good communication skills.
- Full clean driving license.
