Job Description - Maintenance Manager with Electrician PLC Experience Location - Dublin Reporting to - Head of Operations Job Description My client is seeking a skilled Electrician with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, PLC programming, and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing electrical systems and PLCs. This is a key role in our production process, and we are looking for a resolute and detail-oriented individual to contribute to our success. Electrical Maintenance Perform routine electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in a timely manner. Conduct preventive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime. PLC Programming and Troubleshooting Program and troubleshoot PLCs to control and automate manufacturing processes. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and modify PLC programs as needed. Monitor and analyse PLC systems for errors and inefficiencies, adjusting as required. Electrical System Upgrades Assist in the planning and execution of electrical system upgrades and installations. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations during installations and upgrades. Documentation Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities. Keep records of PLC programs and changes for future reference. Safety Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing electrical work. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor immediately. Team Collaboration Collaborate effectively with other maintenance team members and production personnel. Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as an Electrician with PLC experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment. Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
