Job Description

Position Summary To establish and maintain a systematic approach to preventative maintenance, thus maximising uptime on all production equipment. This will be achieved through the implementation of a comprehensive maintenance program, the management of spare parts and in turn the effective control of the maintenance budget. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in industrial maintenance, be highly skilled and have a management background. Essential Duties and Tasks Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all EHS requirements and procedures are adhered to, including the reporting and resolution of all incidents or accidents and the correct use of specified PPE. Ensure that all Technicians are appropriately qualified and trained to carry out their role in an optimal way, minimising Downtime. Maintain strong working relationships with all departments ensuring an open and cohesive approach to planned and unplanned maintenance activity, keeping all stakeholders informed of equipment readiness. Establish a review process which ensures that PM Schedules and activity addresses the recurring causes of Downtime, which in turn maximises equipment availability. Ensure appropriate procedures and records are in place to direct the Technicians in the delivery of their roles and to record maintenance activities in line with legal, regulatory and site requirements. Participate in the setting of the annual Maintenance Budget, ensuring value for money is delivered on spend. Also, in line with best practice all spend must be allocated to the appropriate Cost Centre Ensure that all maintenance activity is aligned to the objective of continuous improvement and equipment performance metrics are achieved as set out in the annual budget. Manage the work and schedule of all direct reports including the update of Time & Attendance records, holiday allocation and absence management in line with site requirements. Ensure all requirements of accredited bodies including, BRCGS / ISO / FSC / PEFC & FSAI, are adhered to as a routine part of the role Carry out all other reasonable requests.
