Job Title: Maintenance Planner/Facilities Supervisor Location: Cork, Ireland Industry: Food Processing About the Company: Our client, a well-established food processing company with 34 years of experience, is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Facilities Supervisor to join their team in Cork. This company supplies top-quality products to leading restaurants and supermarkets across Ireland. Position Overview: As the Maintenance Planner/Facilities Supervisor, you will play a critical role in improving equipment performance and reliability within a fast-paced food processing environment. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing preventive and reactive maintenance programs, supervising the maintenance team, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment to meet production targets. Key Responsibilities: Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs. Monitor and drive improvements in all maintenance activities. Develop and implement training plans for maintenance technicians. Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Identify areas for improvement and propose actions to address shortfalls. Set performance goals for the maintenance team. Lead projects aimed at improving key maintenance KPIs. Manage the procurement of spare parts and equipment. Complete all quality and safety administrative tasks. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and quality system requirements. Key Requirements: Relevant technical education and knowledge. Proven experience in maintenance/engineering roles within high-volume industries. Supervisory experience in managing maintenance teams. Strong hands-on experience in preventive/reactive maintenance and high-speed automation. Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required. Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, especially on technical matters. Ability to maintain accurate and complete documentation. Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
