Astute's Power team are recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to work at a Combined Cycle Power Station capable of generating 463MW. As a Maintenance Team Leader you are responsible for the safe & efficient operation of the plant, including managing, developing and motivating the team. The Maintenance Team Leader will play a vital part in managing and co-ordinating activities, minimising downtime and driving improvements. Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for: Ensuring the safety of all staff, inclusive of contractors, using the sites safety systems. This will include permits to work, risk assessments and setting to work. Prioritising planned and reactive maintenance duties. Procuring of key services and components Supervise and manage contractors Supporting station projects and improvements. This will include safety workstreams and stores management. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: A craft qualification in either a instrumentation, electrical or mechanical field. Knowledge of SAP and purchasing would be advantageous Knowledge of safe systems of work and permitting Experience and technical knowledge of power station maintenance or similar heavy process industry Personal skills The Maintenance Team Leader role would suit someone who is: Experienced with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
