Vacancy Maintenance Technician Barrys Tea require a suitable candidate for a permanent position to join our maintenance team at our production facility in Cork city. The maintenance technician reports to the Operations Directorand will serve as an integral member of the maintenance team. The Maintenance team support the delivery of the maintenance strategy and providing maintenance support to the production team currently working within a single shift environment, but this is subject to change as demand necessitates. Responsibilities: Support and deliver planned preventive maintenance schedules in line with production related requirements. Support production team in maximising factory readiness and effectiveness, including start ups, product changes and planned maintenance. Perform follow-up analysis to identify and resolve recurring downtime and machine inefficiencies leading to operational lost time. Apply sound technical solutions to resolve problems relating to factory efficiencies and to drive continuous improvement. Ensure all factory maintenance operations are conducted in a safe, compliant and controlled environment and documented in accordance with the Quality Management System and Regulatory Compliance. Assist maintenance team on other projects as deemed necessary by Operations Director. Requirements: Aptitude for troubleshooting, fault finding & root cause analysis on factory/process issues. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cross functional team. Technically minded with strong problem solving and analytical skills. Self-motivated individual, capable of working on own initiative. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Experience operating within, and delivering on, the highest quality standards in the manufacturing sector is desirable.
