Job Description

Seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Longford, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery at our site. You will use an Asset Management System (Maximo) to carry out routine maintenance and repairs within and outside our facility.

Your role is vital to the efficiency, development, and progress of the manufacturing site. Working with other professionals, you'll improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns, and develop strategies to improve the overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance repairs, rebuilds, and other tasks on machines and infrastructure.
  • Maintain all equipment and machinery in the manufacturing facility.
  • Regularly inspect machines and repair or replace parts as needed.
  • Respond to calls for repair and maintenance.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work and repairs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve machinery efficiency.
  • Manage inventory of tools and order new supplies as required.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is an advantage.
  • At least four years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Maximo – Asset Management system or equivalent is an advantage.
