Job Description
Reinsurer seeks Reporting Accountant to assist Financial Accountant with finance and operations function, developing financial statements and management accounts.
Key Responsibilities: • Preparing quarterly financial statements and management accounts • Maintaining general ledger and managing cash and bank accounts • Assisting in submission of annual and quarterly regulatory returns • Preparing ad hoc reporting requests from group internal functions • Assisting CFO with accounting related tasks • Preparing and filing VAT returns and Corporation tax computation and returns • Assisting with quarterly board packs • Liaising with internal auditors and other corporate functions • Coordinating with external auditors for year-end audit
Requirements: • Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) • Working knowledge of Irish GAAP • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Integrity and high ethical standards • Strong business acumen • Ability to challenge and probe • Team player • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
