Job Description

The employer is an blue-chip life sciences / medical device business. This role will work closely with the FC, with ownership of cost accounting and pricing , manufacturing analysis and management reporting in addition to financial accounting for a single subsidiary also, as follows: Role and Responsibilities Manufacturing Managing the Product Standard costs using a Standard Costing system and developing the internal costing systems to better analyse contribution margin analysis and provision of accurate information to company management of CoGs / Pricing Management of CoGs variances (Material usage variance, purchase price variance, overhead absorption variance) and preparation of quarterly updates for presentation and discussion to the site Operations team. Financial Accounting Oversee Accounts Payable for multiple Group entities Oversee preparation of customer invoices Support of the monthly finance close process, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and income statement analysis Assist in the preparation of cashflow projections Additional accounting reports as required Liaise with external Auditors, Bank, Payroll and Government authorities Prepare audit files for external auditors Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required: Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). At least 1-2 years PQE, working in a similar position in a multi-national with cost accounting experience, preferably in Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals. Good working knowledge of ERP accounting packages with an exposure to process improvement projects Skills: Cost Accounting Management Reporting Monthly Financial Accounting
