Who are we looking for?
We are currently seeking a Finance Manager (Accounts Payable) to join our expanding Finance team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance professional to develop their career in a fast-growing company. The successful candidate will manage a busy and exciting area within the Corporate Finance team.

What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?

  • The ideal candidate will have at minimum part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ATI) or a degree in a related field (Business/finance/economics may be considered in lieu of accounting studies).
  • A minimum of four years prior experience in a finance facing role, with previous experience working with accounting software.
  • Accounts payable experience is a distinct advantage. Prior experience in the financial services sector is also an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating a team.
  • Proficiency in Excel is a requirement for the role. Prior working knowledge of accounting packages, Word, Outlook, and Sharepoint is an advantage. Previous experience using Sage Intacct is an advantage.

What is your role and your responsibilities?
The role will manage the AP function within Carne Group and support the growth in our business.

  • Ensure the processing of vendor invoices and payments across all our group locations.
  • Recording invoices by appropriate entity and cost centre, ensuring appropriate approvals and regular reconciliation of balances.
  • Ensure the accurate tracking of client reimbursable invoices and payments.
  • Ensure the posting of cash payments and regular reconciliation of bank balances across multiple banks, entities, and locations.
  • Stakeholder services; maintain strong and positive working relationships with external vendors and internal teams in support of accounts payable objectives.
  • Maintaining relationships with banks across all our operating entities in multiple locations.
  • Monitor cash balances in each location and managing intra-group cash flow.
  • Expense control; support for month-end accounts closure and reconciliation of balances, FP&A activities, and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Ensure internal and external audits queries associated with AP activity are managed.
  • Support transformation activities within the finance function.
  • Assist other key functions within the finance team and cross-team cover where required.
