**Manager, Software Engineering for Android Client Software**
**Summary:** Lead a team of Android software engineers to develop innovative enhancements and new features for Pandora and Sirius XM applications and websites.

As a member of our Client Software Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to improve the Pandora and Sirius XM experiences to the millions of customers we serve.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead a team of Android software engineers
- Be hands-on with your team and the code they produce
- Help develop innovative enhancements and new features for our existing Pandora and Sirius XM applications or websites
- Assist in the troubleshooting of pre- and post-production issues with your team
- Participate in code-reviews as part of a much larger team
- Be familiar with the overall software stack and the software components of the applications and website we build, and always be looking for ways to improve
- Own the software development coding standards, code review, and all documentation as it applies to software development of the platforms you work on
- Participate in the Agile development process for client development
- Collaborate with senior members of the team to help generate task breakdowns
- Keep fully aware of the industry evolution, new technologies, and evolution of client application or web frameworks
- Be a mentor for the members of your team
- Report regularly to your manager, the Director of Software Engineering
**Requirements:**
- A desire to lead technical teams from the front (managers are expected to be highly technical and able to contribute with their team)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A growth mindset and an ability to learn quickly
- 6+ years of experience developing Client Software for Android
- A strong interest in collaborating via code reviews and technical discussions
- Experience implementing native apps for Android using the latest Android features and technologies including Android Studio
- Experience with Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose and other Google Android frameworks like Hilt and media3
- Experience with MVVM and other modern design patterns
- Interest in modern open source Android projects like Coil and okhttp
- Experience with CI/CD environments like Github Actions and Gradle
