Our client, a leading Irish owned company in its respective field, is looking to add to its senior leadership team with a strategically & commercially focused Managing Director to enable the ongoing growth of its business & implement future plans. Its Head office is located inCo. Tipperary, from which it supports customers throughout Ireland. With revenues of approx. €10 million in 2024 and a team of 25 employees, the company is well positioned to continue with its growth plans over the coming years. The Managing Director will lead and develop the company in this exciting and evolving sector. This role provides an exciting opportunity for a senior manager with a technical background who wants to progress their career as Managing Director and contribute to the transition and growth of this business. Reporting to and supported by the Board of Directors, the Managing Director has overall responsibility for implementing the strategy and business plans of the company, and for business development. The Managing Director will lead the executive team to manage the operations of the company. Key Responsibilities Working with the board to develop, communicate and implement a sustainable business strategy and sound business model. Create and communicate a vision that inspires and draws the organisation forward. Create and lead a culture and working environment that allows all staff to flourish and perform at their best. Grow and develop the business by expanding the product and service offering and growing the customer base. Nurture and foster the customer base. Implement and deliver the annual business plan. Manage the operating risks of the company, and in particular Health, Safety and Welfare of employees, customers and stakeholders. Ensure that everything the organisation does is compliant, legal, honest, decent and truthful. Oversee human resource strategies, including personnel supervision, recruitment, development and performance evaluation. Be the face of the company with stakeholders, including government, trade and industry bodies. Keep the board advised on all matters relating to the executive management of the company. Competencies and Qualifications Professional Engineering qualification (e.g. Level 8 Bachelors, Electrical, Mechanical, Energy preferred). Minimum of 5 years experience in a commercial and technical business environment. A business qualification would be an advantage. Experience in leading and managing a business function, including people management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong Leadership Skills & excellent commercial acumen.
