Managing Quantity Surveyor Job In Galway

Managing Quantity Surveyor required for a growing construction organisation in Galway, Ireland. The successful candidate will lead the commercial aspects of the quantity surveying department.

This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to achieving the optimum commercial result through accurate financial reporting.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
• Manage subcontract packages, overseeing payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare cost/value reconciliation reports accurately.
• Manage standard construction contract forms, including variations and final account agreements.
• Supervise and manage accurate and timely project delivery reporting.
• Ensure subcontract orders are prepared in accordance with company procedures.
• Attend meetings with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and specialist subcontractors.

Requirements:

• Quantity Surveying Degree or similar with 5+ years post-graduate experience.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Significant experience in main contracting market.
• Experience managing subcontract accounts.
• Experience working with PWC form of contract.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in Excel and Cubit.
• Methodical, conscientious, and organized, with a focus on delivering high standards.
