Managing Quantity Surveyor required for a growing construction organisation in Galway, Ireland. The successful candidate will lead the commercial aspects of the quantity surveying department.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to achieving the optimum commercial result through accurate financial reporting.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
- Manage subcontract packages, overseeing payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare cost/value reconciliation reports accurately.
- Manage standard construction contract forms, including variations and final account agreements.
- Supervise and manage accurate and timely project delivery reporting.
- Ensure subcontract orders are prepared in accordance with company procedures.
- Attend meetings with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and specialist subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Quantity Surveying Degree or similar with 5+ years post-graduate experience.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Significant experience in main contracting market.
- Experience managing subcontract accounts.
- Experience working with PWC form of contract.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel and Cubit.
- Methodical, conscientious, and organized, with a focus on delivering high standards.
