Job title: Managing Quantity Surveyor Location: Galway Our client is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee all commercial aspects of their quantity surveying department. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading commercial activities and will be fully accountable for their projects, including both pre- and post-contract commercial functions and contract reporting. Provide guidance and support to junior team members. Manage subcontract packages, including payments to subcontractors and suppliers, along with other quantity surveying duties. Prepare accurate cost/value reconciliation reports. Manage standard construction contract forms, including variations and final account agreements. Oversee and ensure accurate and timely project delivery reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor. Ensure subcontract orders comply with company procedures. Attend meetings with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and specialist subcontractors. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field with 5+ years of post-graduate experience. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Extensive experience in the main contracting market. Proven experience managing subcontract accounts. Familiarity with the PWC form of contract. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong numerical skills with attention to detail; capable of gathering, interpreting, and presenting data for budget preparation and valuations. Proficiency in Excel and Cubit. Methodical, conscientious, and organized, with a commitment to high standards of work. Skills: Managing Quantity Surveyor
