Manufacturing Engineers are directly involved in maintaining and continuously improving the manufacturing processes to the highest standards to deliver on our mission to contribute to human welfare, by supporting the manufacture of products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. A Day in The Life Of: Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Troubleshoot manufacturing/equipment issues that occur during day-to-day production and provide technical solutions using structured problem solving such as DMAIC methodology and hands-on interaction. Provide engineering support to operations, helping to drive yield, analyse & reduce critical defects, LBM & cycle time improvements. Ensure equipment downtime is minimized during shift activity. Creates/Maintains equipment documentation: EB's, EDST, IQ protocols and PMs. Installation, calibration, preventative maintenance and validation of equipment. Ensure process improvements are implemented based on Trends, NCMR actions, First Time Quality (FTQ) actions, where required. Implements relevant poke-yoke and mix up mitigations. Work individually or as part of a team on various process improvement projects. Supports on NCMR investigations when required. Provides clear and accurate handover updates from the weekend shift to Engineering on other shifts to ensure any issues are dealt with in an efficient manner. Key Skills & Experience Minimum of Level 7 degree required in Engineering or related discipline. Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering operations environment is preferred. Strong Technical Engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of statistical tools. Ability to work across functions as part of a weekend support team. Ability to work on their own initiative. Agile MAP and SAP experience an advantage. Good understanding of Manufacturing cell operations and systems. Good interpersonal skills are essential and must be a team player. Experience with SAP ME is desirable.
