Manufacturing Engineer sought to design and develop custom air handling equipment and modular data centers for hyperscale cloud and colocation providers.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Dublin 12.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical design support to senior engineers within the engineering department with specific focus on Manufacturing design engineering.
  • Take a leading role in project execution, including design development and value engineering assistance of data centers and modular data centers.
  • Coach, mentor and lead project teams, including Engineers in Training to success in a wide variety of projects.
  • Communicate and interact with external clients, including sales representatives and clients.
  • Selection and design of custom air handling equipment and modular data centers, including design of computer room air handling units.
  • Costing of units and components, production of equipment drawings and submittal packages.
  • Assist with the development of new and innovative product lines and refinement of existing products.
  • Interact with production, perform periodic inspections of units under construction.
  • Participate in continuous product improvement and be involved in many aspects of the business.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree (BSc. Eng., B. Eng.).
  • Three or more years of related experience.
  • Experience in 3D design is essential (assemblies, parts & drawings) and BOM generation.
  • Proficient with Autodesk Inventor is an advantage; demonstrated knowledge in proper drafting standards and practices.
  • Proven experience in metal fabrication (sheet metal, metal profile).
  • Experience in HVAC design is desirable, including knowledge in equipment and system selection, design, and control.
  • Proficiency in MS applications, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks on strict deadlines.
