Manufacturing Engineer sought to design and develop custom air handling equipment and modular data centers for hyperscale cloud and colocation providers.
At Silent Aire, a leading manufacturer of mission critical custom air handlers and modular data centers, we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Dublin 12.
As a key member of our Manufacturing engineering department, you will collaborate with senior engineers to execute challenging projects with multiple deadlines, mentor junior staff, and interact with external clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical design support to senior engineers within the engineering department with a focus on Manufacturing design engineering.
- Leading project execution and coaching, mentoring, and supervising junior staff and interacting with external sales representatives and clients.
- Designing custom air handling equipment and modular data centers, including computer room air handling units, to client specifications.
- Selecting fans, coils, and other equipment components associated with air handling equipment, and costing units and components.
- Producing equipment drawings and submittal packages, and assisting with the development of new and innovative product lines and refinement of existing products.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree (BSc. Eng., B. Eng.).
- Three or more years of related experience.
- Experience in 3D design (assemblies, parts & drawings) and BOM generation.
- Proficient with Autodesk Inventor and demonstrated knowledge in proper drafting standards and practices.
- Proven experience in metal fabrication (sheet metal, metal profile) and HVAC design.
Preferred skills include proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
