Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Ireland, Dungloe
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 8:40am-5:20pm.

Our client is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to assist with the design, development, application, and maintenance of manufacturing procedures and processes for engineering products and projects.

The Role:

  1. Collaborate with the Production Line Leads, Quality Team, Supply Chain Team, and Design engineering.
  2. Work together with the engineering systems, standards, and conformance groups to ensure that the requirements of the product platform are met.
  3. Work closely with the Design engineering teams on the work instructions and procedures relating to the manufacturability of the products transferred to the lines.
  4. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for both existing and new processes.
  5. Assist with mentoring, training, and developing the Manufacturing team.
  6. Troubleshoot technical problems that arise in the manufacturing process, resolving issues and ensuring that production downtime is minimized.
  7. Maintain awareness of new systems and technologies that could be beneficial in manufacturing.
  8. Proactively identify new equipment requirements, specification, justification, and installation to schedule.

The Candidate:

Essential:

  1. Degree / HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

Desirable:

  1. Experience with CAD Systems / 3D solid modelling.
  2. Experience of manufacturing electromechanical assemblies.
  3. Experience of Six Sigma, the 5 S's approach to manufacturing, General "Good Manufacturing Practice" protocols, and T.P.M.
