Manufacturing Engineer Job In Galway

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our CID Business Area in Galway.

Summary: We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process improvements and technical projects in an automated production environment.

About the Role:

• Drive improvements in process design, layout, and operational performance
• Specifications, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, modification, and validation of equipment
• Technical servicing and maintenance of manufacturing and personalizing equipment
• Support IT in managing local IT network and interfaces
• Analyze process, product, material, or equipment specifications and performance
• Responsible for calibration and preventative maintenance of production equipment
• Develop technical documentation, such as standard operating procedures, safety programs, and validation protocols
• Provide technical leadership to production technicians and lead technical projects with cross-functional teams
• Evaluate new equipment, processes, and chemicals for environmental impact and eliminate or lessen such impacts
• Support transfer of manufacturing process from other HID sites to Galway

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an automated production environment
• Strong experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, PC, and PLC control, vision systems, and RFID card manufacturing or secure printing industry
• Hands-on experience supporting machines in a production environment
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related discipline
• Proficient in MS Office applications and fluent in English language
• Fluency in another language is desirable
