Manufacturing Graduate Engineer
Design and implement process improvements, analyze data, and optimize production workflows to drive efficiency and quality.
About the Role
- Analyze and design sequence of operations and workflow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts
- Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
- Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, manufacturing standards, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems
- Develop and implement plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
Requirements
- Minimum of a Level 7 degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering qualification and graduated within the last 2 years
- A dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams
- Good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking
- Builds and maintains positive relationships; shows respect for others
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of Problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC
- Training/Experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience or knowledge of capacity modelling, simulation, line balancing, and time studies
- Highly skilled with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Auto CAD (or similar 2 D CAD)
- Strong People skills using a coaching/mentoring approach
