**Key Responsibilities:**
• Assist in providing guidance and training to staff, developing subordinates to attain career goals, motivating individuals to achieve results, and recruiting and maintaining a high-quality staff.
• Work with the manager to establish department goals, objectives, and budgets.
• Assist in planning resource needs and hiring for the department.
• Prioritize and manage the execution of multiple projects.
• Successfully complete manufacturing engineering project work on Value Improvement Process (VIP), Strategic Activity Review (STAR) projects, or new product development.
• Lead engineering teams to the successful completion of project goals.
• Maintain and enhance cross-functional team relationships.
• Work cross-functionally in identifying and resolving production/engineering issues.
• Ensure policies and processes are followed.
• Represent manufacturing engineering in new product development teams.
**Education & Responsibilities:**
• Level 8 required in a relevant discipline.
• Competent in High Volume Automated assembly processes with the ability to provide technical guidance to more junior engineers on their systems.
• Strong working knowledge of HMI's, Vision systems (Cognex/Keyence), Electric Drives and Controls, Sensors, solenoids, printers, robots (calibration, homing, troubleshooting).
• Demonstrates excellent mechanical aptitude foundation.
• Demonstrates ability to innovate & influence high volume automated assembly process/technology strategy.
• Anticipates potential issues/risks and mitigates them before they appear.
• Instills a proactive environment where all engineers and technicians consistently monitor their processes.
• Technical Drawings – very strong knowledge of GD&T and dimensional criteria understanding.
• In-depth knowledge of BMRAM, VIP, MES, GLS, MRB, NCEP, CAPA, Windchill, GMP.
• Acts as a technical advisor to middle management on specialized business projects and technologies.
• Technical Leadership presence, Lead by example - demonstrate best practices consistently.
• Problem Solving leader for the VS (Minimum green belt, Black belt preferable).
• Statistical Analysis skills e.g. DOE, T-test.
• Demonstrated Stakeholder Management.
