Manufacturing Engineering Manager County Wicklow 90,000-100,000 Inclusion IQ is delighted to continue our long-standing relationship with our global client as they seek to appoint an Engineering Manager to join their large operations in County Wicklow. The successful applicant will join a renowned manufacturer committed to quality, sustainability, and innovation. The Role As the engineering manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the manufacturing process of a globally recognised organisation and play your role in adhering to stringent quality standards whilst ensuring commitment to sustainable practises. The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of engineers across all functional areas to improve overall equipment performance and to further develop existing preventative/planned maintenance and process control systems. You will be responsible for the following duties: Manage a team of 6 direct reports and several indirect reports within the business.Develop and implement a strategic development plan for site infrastructure, processes, and production capabilities.Attend senior management meetings and contribute to strategic discussions.Develop and maintain maintenance policies and procedures.Manage PMS schedules and spare parts systems.Control budgets for spare parts purchases.Contribute to project design and development.Manage contractor work for safety, efficiency, and value.Collaborate with production and development on new projects.Monitor and control environmental impact.Manage and motivate direct reports.Prioritise, plan, and coordinate activities.Prepare and control departmental budgets.Apply company policies and procedures. The Person To be considered for this position applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering-related subjectFood Safety Level 3HACCP Level 3Previous engineering management experience within a food manufacturing environment.Proven track record of managing large teams and diverse technical and engineering activities.Experience in developing and implementing capital expenditure plans.Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques.Proven track record in cost control, health and safety and management of quality systems.Knowledge of legislative and environmental controls relating to the safe use of plants and machinery.Proven track record in the management and implementation of PPM CMMS-based management systems.Able to cope under pressure and flex with peaks in personal workload.Able to use, create, understand, and act upon trends from management operating systems.
