Responsibilities
- Health & Safety: Cultivate a Zero accidents culture.
- People: Develop and mentor engineers and technicians for succession planning.
- Quality: Ensure Right First-Time principles and support CAPA process.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean and six-sigma tools for ongoing improvement.
- Service: Deliver Exceptional Customer Experience.
- New Product Introduction: Support Prototyping / NPD Group.
- Sustaining Engineering: Oversee all engineering activity.
- Process Improvement: Assess capabilities and prioritize improvements.
- CAPEX Management: Evaluate new technologies for competitive advantage.
- Team Leadership: Manage high-performing engineering team.
- Compliance: Maintain quality standards per Medical Devices requirements.
- External Relations: Manage relationships with technology providers.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date SOPs and ensure technical training deployment.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Level 8 Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 5-10 years in high-volume automated production.
- Leadership skills: Problem-solving teams.
- Key Requirements: Knowledge of Medical Device or similar quality systems.
- Skills: Six sigma/lean principles, strong communication and decision-making skills.
