Job opportunity for a highly skilled automation technician to maintain and improve manufacturing equipment in a state-of-the-art facility.
We're seeking a talented professional with experience in automation, robotics, and electronics to join our team in Fermoy, Ireland. As an automation technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the consistent quality and output of our Class III medical devices. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve automation equipment to ensure consistent quality and output
- Follow systematic root cause problem-solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, completing associated paperwork and records
- Lead and implement process improvements to achieve more efficient operations
- Assist with the commissioning of new equipment and projects
- Manage stock of spare parts and cross-train technicians as required
Essential Requirements:
- Previous relevant experience in automation, robotics, or electronics
- Minimum Level 6 qualification in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical/Automation Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or qualified trade personnel
- Completion of internal Simutech training
- Industrial/manufacturing environment experience
- Experience in high-volume automation/robotics
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers, Servo Motor drives, Vision systems, Ultrasonic welding, workshop machining
- Understanding of Process Capability
- Understanding of MSA (Measurement System Analysis) & GR&R (Gauge Repeat & Reduction)
- Experience in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance Test), IOPQ (Installation, Operation, Performance Qualification) automated assembly lines
