Manufacturing and Operational Excellence Manager sought to lead a global manufacturer's Co. Louth site in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and management of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to support productivity improvements and growth objectives.
- Continuously work on engineering solutions to reduce risk in the production processes.
- Ensure quality standards within the manufacturing engineering department.
- Manage ECO implementation and tracking, department budgets, and head-count requirements.
- Lead the Manufacturing Engineering team, performance management, and development.
- Promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the value stream.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement a sustainability roadmap to reduce CO2 emissions in alignment with targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or science.
- 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, with 5 years in a management role.
- Technical knowledge of volume manufacturing engineering practices.
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma problem-solving techniques.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of DFMEA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
- Critical thinking, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Flexibility in travel, work hours, tasks, and responsibilities.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
