LouthRef: S011573 RecruitmentPlus on behalf of our client are seeking applications for the post of Manufacturing and Operational Excellence Manager.This position is with a global manufacturer with a long history of success, with recent investment in their Co. Louth site they are seeking an experienced professional to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the manufacturing division. Requirements: Bachelors degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or science 7 to 10 years experience working in a manufacturing engineering environment with 5 years experience in a management role Technical knowledge of volume manufacturing engineering practices Working knowledge Lean Six sigma problem solving techniques In depth knowledge and experience of DFMEA, FMEA, APQP, PPAP and Lean Manufacturing techniques A leader with critical thinking, decision making and project management skills Flexibility in travel, work hours, tasks and responsibilities ensuring adaptation to production cycles Fluency in English both written and verbal Key Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee the development and management of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to support productivity improvements and growth objectives Continuously work on engineering solutions to reduce risk in the production processes Ensuring quality standards within the manufacturing engineering department Management of ECO (Engineering Change Order) implementation and tracking Develop, implement and track department budgets and head-count requirements on a monthly cycle Manage the Manufacturing Engineering team, performance management and development Promote & develop a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the value stream Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards Ownership and development of sustainability roadmap to reduce CO2 emissions in alignment with targets.
