Job Summary: The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for performing preventative and demand maintenance activities to maintain manufacturing and plant equipment. The role requires a self-starter with the ability to organize and work within a team. Experience in a hands-on engineering role or electrical trade experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant experience in the maintenance of utility and/or process equipment in the healthcare or food processing industry. Key Responsibilities: • Perform day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance activities to maintain manufacturing and plant equipment. • Maintain records and documentation on relevant engineering procedures, perform equipment validation and preventative/demand maintenance. • Liaise with internal/external engineering personnel and contract maintenance providers in maintaining troubleshooting and installing/commissioning equipment. • Coordinate and implement equipment projects. • Maintain the facility and manufacturing equipment, including utility services and manufacturing plant. • Ensure the effective management of appropriate internal and external plant projects. • Foster and lead continuous improvement to the culture of safety. • Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure requests for plant and manufacturing equipment. • Support the engineering team in ensuring that facilities, utilities, and equipment are maintained to meet the required legal, divisional, and corporate standards. • Liaise with division engineering as required. • In conjunction with the quality calibration coordinator, ensure compliance with calibration requirements for both plant and manufacturing. • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects. • Manage and supervise external contractors.
