Job Description

Join a team of experts in manufacturing engineering to create innovative solutions for a safer, sustainable and more connected world.

As a member of our manufacturing engineering team, you will be responsible for leading process improvements in stamping, molding, or assembly related topics. This will involve ensuring processes are running at optimal levels for quality and output, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop manufacturing processes and automation platforms.

You will work closely with production teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up, and support research and development teams in producing sample manufacturing equipment, product samples, and prototypes.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for production equipment, focusing on process yields, equipment OEE, TPM, and Health & Safety. • Assist with engineering studies, process trials, and execution of IQ/OQ/PQ validations of equipment and processes. • Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks within the assigned manufacturing area. • Design, specify, manufacture, and test jigs, fixtures, new equipment, and ensure compliance with quality management systems. • Assist in the creation and maintenance of up-to-date standard operating procedures and documentation in the area of responsibility. • Assist manufacturing engineers in root cause analysis and implementing robust solutions to technical issues in both equipment and processes.

• Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes. • Ability to highlight innovative examples of fixture design and manufacture. • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills. • Motivated to work on own initiative. • Knowledge of medical device development/manufacture is advantageous. • Demonstrated understanding of engineering, quality systems, and lean manufacturing principles. • Proven keen eye for detail and ability to work in a highly technical, challenging, and changing environment. • Computer literacy in Excel, Word, etc.

Requirements

• Level 6 degree in engineering or equivalent qualification. • Preferably 2 years+ experience in a similar role.
