Manufacturing Technician - Nights (4 shifts per week) Gi Group, formerly Kelly Staffing are delighted to be recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join our client in Galway City on their night shift. Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of healthcare packaging with a world class reputation for quality and service. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, efficient running of the Kiefel Thermoforming machines, working as part of a team to manufacture product to the highest quality specifications, continually developing knowledge as an expert of Nelipak equipment, tools and machines. What are the responsibilities of this role? Monitor and reduce downtime in conjunction with engineers and team leaders, Respond efficiently to downtime escalated by technical operators and perform troubleshooting, Liaise with tooling and maintenance to ensure efficient operation of machines' including during downtime, Deliver H&S toolbox talks to engineering team as required, Lead and take part in H&S sustaining and improvement projects, Identify and develop improvements to increase key performance indicators (KPI's) relevant to engineering such as H&S, delivery, quality, cost reductions, etc., Conduct machine cleaning and maintenance relevant to training, skills, experience and competencies, Conduct New Product Introduction or other trials as instructed by the engineering department, Lead and take part in engineering projects. Technical Operator ad hoc duties. Areas for Job Development are: Improved G.M.P.
