Job Description
Material Recovery Facility Manager sought to oversee the day-to-day operations of a Green Recycling facility, ensuring efficient waste processing and budgeted results.
Our client, a highly successful Irish family-run business, has been involved in the waste management sector for over 40 years.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the facility, supervising staff, and implementing best practices to maximize production and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and implement best practices to improve production and efficiency, reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs against targets.
- Ensure work rotas for operatives are scheduled to meet logistics, operational, and annual leave needs.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, including staff numbers, agency staff, hours worked, processes, and material handling.
- Ensure sufficient quantities and quality of feedstock for processing, with delivery sources informed of contamination issues and pricing adjustments.
- Ensure waste materials handling, separation, and delivery to outlets are conducted efficiently and compliantly.
- Develop and implement a plant maintenance program, managing maintenance activities and employee development.
- Ensure stock management procedures for spare parts are developed and implemented.
- Ensure all personnel are fully trained for their roles and that all work completed is in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Management experience in a production or waste management/processing facility.
- Experience managing in a labor-intensive, multi-shift environment.
