Summary: Our client, a biopharmaceutical company based in West Dublin, is seeking a Materials Planner to ensure that all materials required for commercial and/or clinical products are available and compliant in line with cGMP, Corporate, and Regulatory standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring on-time and in-full material availability to support drug substance production at the company's Dublin Manufacturing Facility, following a detailed production schedule. This role involves using SAP MRP to identify material requirements and working closely with Global Procurement and Site Operations to address any supply risks. Responsibilities: Materials management to support drug substance production at the Dublin manufacturing facility. Ensuring within the supply plan that materials are planned correctly as well as ensuring communication and escalation of material availability within the plant. Liaise directly with all elements of the manufacturing process, (Planning, Warehouse, Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)) to monitor, report, and drive schedule adherence to the plan for material availability. Consistently deliver agreed service. Maintain SAP MRP for the Biologics manufacturing to drive optimum inventory level of raw material and single use components at the site. Support new Materials introduction, work with the team involved to ensure successful introduction of new material for commercial use at the Dublin Manufacturing Facility. Collaborate with master data management in relation to material and production master data and associated processes. Inventory control. Collaborate with Finite schedulers to maintain process order and material consumption in line with our cGMP processes. Collaborate with finance and global supply chain to identify material excess and obsolescence risks based on approved manufacturing plan. Work with global procurement and global supply chain to optimise the Manufacturing Facility inventory in collaboration with the extended companys Manufacturing network. Storage capacity planning. Work with Warehouse to understand storage capacity of the warehouse and integrate new materials in a capacity analysis across each of the different storage areas. Developing business processes to improve reporting in relation to material forecasts, demand and availability. Communicate operational status regularly to site management at the appropriate level of detail. Communications will be both written documents, and in formal and informal oral presentations. Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations/problems using multiple sources of information. May be responsible for specific programs and/or projects. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas needing improvement, recommending strategies for improvement, and implementing those strategies once approved. Assists with the preparation of project plans and manages projects to successful and timely completion. Manage audit preparation ensuring the manufacturing schedule facilitates all requests. Write and support change controls, deviations and CAPAs. Qualifications & Experience: 3 - 5 Years of Experience. Proficient in use of ERP/SAP database systems. Minimum of 3 years planning experience in an MRP environment. Understanding of cGMP and raw material planning requirements. Experience/qualification in business, materials management, operations or supply chain management/logistics or other equivalent such as APICS qualification.
