M&E Coordinator Job Description

As an M&E Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving our safety culture and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

  • Drive an embedded HS&E culture, promoting a continually progressive culture that prioritizes safety.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner, promoting our core values and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with our integrated management system.
  • Liaise with Contracts Manager on programming and resourcing requirements, and with Site Manager on sub-contractor programs and coordination.
  • Develop design proposals, check and report on specifications and design drawings, and ensure service/design decisions are met.
  • Plan and manage drawings and other documentation, programme and facilitate the flow of information between the Design Team and services sub-contractors.
  • Inspect, assess, commission, and verify mechanical systems/electrical systems on site, and demonstrate systems to clients in accordance with design parameters.
  • Monitor M&E-related onsite labour force, and assist the contract manager with the M&E programme.
  • Generate and maintain progress status reports, and coordinate the timely submittal of mechanical and electrical components of the O&M File.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in a Building Services Contractor/Consultant company, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, sprinkler, and process systems.
  • General knowledge of construction project management.
  • Knowledge of O&M/BCAR requirements.
  • Minimum third-level qualification in Engineering/Building Services, or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of IT Systems (MS Office, MS Teams, Project Management Software, Procore).
  • Technical ability in preparing and assessing drawings, specifications, O&M, and technical documentation.
